MY GRANDMA THE DOPE, WOKE Ass LADY
Unconditional self love will never be achievable until we free ourselves from the conditioning of what we are supposed to look like, how we’re supposed to act and who we are supposed to be that has been instilled in us since the day we were born.
My nanny (grandma) and I have weekly meeting to discuss our faith and spirituality. She is a dope, woke ass lady I tell you that! I never thought Religion was for me as I did not not like the judgement or hypocrisy we see in the Catholic Church however she single handedly reminded me that faith is beautiful it is the conditioning that is not. We realised this quote related to every aspect of our lives and was actually one of the sparks that led to this course.
This quote came up when we were talking about choices. We were talking about the choice we have to love ourselves and to love others. We were not born to hate ourselves or not born to hate others, we are conditioned to, and until we decondition the conditioning we are unable to see our choices clearly.
We are conditioned through the media about how we are supposed to look, how we are supposed to act and how we are supposed to live.
We are conditioned by our family about what relationships and boundaries are supposed to look like both good and bad.
We are conditioned by our privilege both subconscious and not about what to think about people that are different than us.
We are conditioned by our sexual education to believe the male orgasm is more important than the female orgasm.
Without ever realising it, everything we think and do is conditioned and we will not be able to be our authentic selves until we recognise our own conditioning. We are not born racist, we are conditioned to be racist. We are not born insecure. We are conditioned to be insecure. Once we can admit this to ourselves we can start to find ways to overcome our conditioning and bring more light into the lives of ourselves and of others.
It’s time to stop buying into the bullshit and start loving yourself and the people around you. It’s time to meet who you truly are.
Let me introduce yourself.
